Valleywood

In 2010 SMH Consultants was selected by the Riley County Public Works Department to conduct a drainage study of the Valleywood Addition.   Since Valleywood Addition’s conception in the 1980’s it has been stigmatized with a drainage problem that results in standing water within the entirety of the subdivision that seems to never go away.  As part of the study conducted by SMH Consultants survey data was collected and alternatives for addressing the problem were developed.  The study also included the analysis of existing pumping conditions, the potential of creating positive drainage through  a conduit system and above ground, public input and involvement, and reporting back to Riley County Commissioners.
