In 2018, SMH played a key role as a sub-consultant to GMCN Architects for the Boot Hill Museum Expansion project in Dodge City, working closely with GMCN, Boot Hill Museum, and the City of Dodge City to transform this iconic landmark. The project introduced a new state-of-the-art building that serves as the main entrance, modern exhibit halls and an expanded gift shop, enhancing the overall visitor experience. SMH provided essential civil engineering and landscape architectural services, including underground storm drainage systems, grading, sidewalks, patios, parking lot upgrades, and landscaping that harmonized with the surrounding Heritage District. Since its public opening in 2020, the expansion has become a centerpiece of the district’s revitalization, adding to Boot Hill Museum’s status as a world-class tourist destination.
