GTM Parking

The fastest growing business in Manhattan, GTM Sportswear, had a parking problem.  To keep up with a growing employee base the company badly needed additional parking.  SMH Consultants developed several alternatives for addressing the parking problem including the reconfiguration of existing parking and a new parking lot.  Ultimately it was decide to both reconfigure some existing parking areas and build a new parking lot capable of accommodating 100 vehicles.  Since providing the parking was paramount in the business’s growth it was imperative that the design occurred rapidly.  Upon completion of the design SMH Consultants provided bid phase services including the solicitation of bids for the work and recommending a contractor to award the bid to.  Finally SMH Consultants also provided both construction staking and construction administration services. 

These services meant daily coordination with the contractor, providing pay estimates to the owner, and working through design modifications as they came up in the field.  Today GTM continues to grow and with additional parking now available there is still room to grow even more in the future.
