FEMA Permitting and Map Revisions

SMH Consultants can address nearly any FEMA permitting and map revision issues.  As FEMA Flood Insurance Rate Maps continue to be revised SMH can help with flood elevation certificates, Letters of Map Amendments (LOMA), Letters of Map Revisions (LOMR), and no rise certifications.  This important service is a marriage between the SMH survey services and engineering services and can mean the difference between no flood risks, which means no flood insurance requirement, to determining that a proposed project is at major risk of flooding.    SMH has completed hundreds of elevation certificates, LOMAs, and LOMRs.  This experience greatly benefits our clients in that we already understand the processes, issues and concerns associated with these services in addition to the right people to talk to at FEMA and on the local level.
