Cheyenne Bottoms Topographical Survey

In 2011 Alfred Benesch and Company contracted with SMH Consultants to provide topographic surveying services for 5 miles of a drainage canal in Barton County, Kansas related to Cheyenne Bottoms.  The surveying portion of this exciting project kicked off a major redesign of the canal from an open channel to a closed conduit system.  The survey portion involved working with multiple landowners, locating several siphons, and determining critical property boundaries for the project.  Set to go to construction in the winter of 2011/2012 this project will serve the water needs of Cheyenne Bottoms for decades into the future.
