Silo Townhomes

In 2007 SMH Consultants working with Anderson Knight Architects completed the preliminary and final development plan and construction documents for the Silo Townhomes Project in Manhattan, Kansas.  The project involved the construction of 16 townhomes, grading, retaining walls, public water supply, and sanitary sewer service.  This unique project took the developer through the Planned Unit Development (PUD) process with the City of Manhattan.  SMH coordinated all submittals required for the project and ultimately provided construction documents for the project’s construction.  The townhomes currently set fully occupied and the development has the look and feel of a very unique place in Manhattan.  SMH helped create this unique atmosphere with the site’s layout.  Details provided by SMH, such as a colored concrete silo ring where a preexisting agricultural silo once sat; only add to the uniqueness of this project.
